A luxury getaway in the heart of Beijing.
Last time I was in Beijing, I decided to treat myself to a bit of luxury. The Puxuan seemed like the perfect option, and it was. Centered in the heart of Beijing, this is a perfect relaxing getaway from the bustling and busy capital of China. Let me tell you why.
The hotel
The hotel is situated right where you want it to. It is a walking distance to all the major attractions that you want to see while you’re in Beijing, such as Tiananman Square and the forbidden city.
The design of the hotel is out of this world. The outside is an art-piece in and of itself, and the inside has a modern touch, but is clearly influenced by traditional chinese design, leaving a feeling of oriental sleekness.
The hotel offers two restaurants, as well as a tea-room, and relaxing spa-facilities.
The rooms
Every bedroom carries with it the oriental designs that are so present in the common areas, and each room is beautifully designed and perfect for finding calm in the city. There is a range of different rooms to choose from. For an extra bit of luxury be sure to check into the suites. Some of the rooms even has a view of the Forbidden City.
The food
The food the hotel offers is exquisite. They have a wide selection of both traditional chinese cuisine and western food, everything cooked to perfection. They also have two restaurants which gives you some selection as to where you want to eat, in addition to the room-service, which to be honest, we opted for more than once.
In conclusion
This is a luxurious getaway from the hustle and bustle of Beijing, while still being perfectly located. You are met with unparalleled service, relaxing designs and amazing food.
